Dr. Hajnalka Pinter, N.D.
My interest in natural health started when I was in my late teens. After experiencing digestive concerns, my health was significantly improved by making dietary changes and taking homeopathic and herbal remedies, under the guidance of a qualified natural health practitioner. I became interested in cleansing and using home remedies that I came to know in my childhood, growing up with parents that opted for healthy traditional foods, teas and time outdoors instead of pharmaceuticals. I came to appreciate the wisdom of nature.
Combining these interests and realizing a desire to help others, I went on first to complete a Bachelor of Science from the University of Calgary in Ecology, followed by a four year doctorate program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto.
My treatment approach focuses on removing blockages and toxins that stop the individual from self-healing and regulating. Therapeutic techniques such as; homeopathy, Biotherapeutic DrainageTM, gemmotherapy, botanical medicine, acupuncture, detoxification, hydrotherapy, individualized nutrition and lifestyle counselling are used to restore a state of homeostasis and health.
My goal is to facilitate the healing process by addressing the underlying imbalances that have created the current symptoms, counsel and inspire individuals to make healthy lifestyle choices, to achieve their wellness goals. I practice natural family medicine at Glow Health & Vitality, with a focus on treating chronic illness, digestive concerns, hormonal imbalances, adrenal fatigue, skin disorders, fertility, pregnancy care and pediatrics.
I am licensed with the College of Naturopathic Doctors of Alberta (CNDA) and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND).
