Welcome to the Team, Dr. Connor!
We would like to welcome Dr. Connor to our Glow team!
Dr. Connor Stephen was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. He enjoys playing sports, being active and caring for his friends and family. After high school, Dr. Connor pursued a BSc in Kinesiology at the University of Lethbridge. He knew throughout undergrad that he wanted to work in healthcare and help members of his community feel better and reach their full potential, both physically and mentally, which led him to his decision to pursue a future in chiropractic care.
Dr. Connor attended the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon, where he received a double degree with a BSc in Human Biology and his Doctor of Chiropractic.
Through school, Dr. Connor learned how to treat and assist patients in alleviating their pain while optimizing their health. He believes that incorporating regular chiropractic care into one’s health-care routine is essential for enhancing quality of life. Dr. Connor treats using a combination of diversified methods and activator methods as he believes in working with people’s nervous systems as well as assessing from a biomechanical point of view, considering both treatment styles are extremely important for optimizing health.
Dr. Connor uses both activator and diversified style Chiropractic adjusting along with soft tissue, physiotherapy modalities, and active rehab. He is available Monday-Saturday!

Welcome to the Team, Leroy!
We would like to welcome our newest Registered Massage Therapist, Leroy!
Leroy grew up on the flat lands of the Netherlands until the age of 12, then moved to the mountainous range that is beautiful Canada and has lived here ever since!
He pursued a career in policing for the last decade to assist and help the public. However, as times changed, he found himself less fulfilled in this career due to the lack of assistance he could offer individuals. This shifted after finding massage therapy; Leroy has been able to change many clients’ lives that have occupied his massage table. He notes that he fills his cup by giving back to his clients and community through his service.
Leroy is an energetic individual. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, running, working out, basically anything outdoors. He also enjoys cooking, and spending time with friends and family.
He completed his 2200 hour diploma at Alberta College of Massage Therapy. His massage therapy services include: Myofascial techniques, Relaxation, Deep tissue, Swedish massage, and Active Trigger Point Release, and continues to further his education to better assist clients.
Leroy is available at Glow on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays!
We’ll Miss You, Zam!
In April we said goodbye to Zam, one of our amazing massage therapists.
Zam has been a true light at Glow, she’s made a lasting impact on both her clients and colleagues. Her kindness, dedication to her work, and positive energy have touched so many, she will be deeply missed. Zam will always have a home here at Glow, and we wish her the absolute best in the future.
A Message from Zam
Dear Glow clients,
I’ve been sitting with this message for a little while, wanting to find the right way to say it.
First, thank you. Truly. Being part of your care over the past four years has meant more to me than I can fully put into words. You’ve trusted me with your bodies, your stories, your healing — and that is something I will always carry with immense gratitude.
Over the last few years, my health has asked me to listen more closely. Some of you know parts of this already, but my skin has gone through a long and complex healing process, and while it has improved significantly, continuing to massage in the way I have been is no longer sustainable for my body.
Because of this, I’ve made the decision to step away from massage at Glow.
This wasn’t an easy choice. Glow has been a second home to me — a place where I’ve grown not only as a practitioner, but as a person. And a big part of that has been you.
What brings me peace in this transition is knowing you are in incredibly good hands. Sergio, Kathryn, Sara, Leroy, and Michaella are all thoughtful, skilled, and caring practitioners. As well as our chiropractic team — Dr. Richard, Dr. Naomi, Dr. Connor, and Dr. Heather. I trust them fully and feel confident that you will continue to receive excellent care here.
A special thank you as well to our front-end team — Danielle, Niki, Mia, Maya, and Carolina — who will continue to support your care and help with anything you may need.
As for me, I’m continuing to evolve my practice in ways that support both my health and my growth — focusing more on nervous system work, movement, and my osteopathic studies. It’s a different direction, but one that feels aligned with where I’m at in this chapter of my life.
If our paths cross again in another setting, I would welcome that wholeheartedly.
Thank you again for your trust, your openness, and for allowing me to be part of your care. It has truly been an honour and a privilege.
With so much gratitude,
Zam
The True Wealth Is Your Health

When uncertainty rises, whether from economic shifts, workload pressures, or life transitions, the body doesn’t just “think” stress, it lives it. At the center of this experience is the brain and nerve system; together, they form the master control system that regulates every function in the body. From heart rate and digestion to immune response and emotional regulation, the quality of your health is directly tied to how well this system functions.
During periods of high stress, the nervous system tends to shift into a sympathetic, or “fight-or-flight,” state. This is useful in short bursts, but when prolonged, it can lead to fatigue, poor sleep, weakened immunity, tension, and decreased resilience. In times of economic uncertainty, when stressors are often ongoing and unpredictable, taking intentional care of this system becomes not just helpful – but essential.
One powerful way to support nervous system function is through chiropractic care. The spine houses and protects the spinal cord, which is the main communication highway between the brain and the body. Misalignments or restrictions in spinal movement can interfere with this communication. Chiropractic adjustments help restore proper motion and alignment, reducing stress on the nervous system and allowing the body to regulate and heal more efficiently. Many people notice improvements not only in physical discomfort, but also in stress tolerance and overall well-being.
Equally important is the practice of meditation or mindful breathing. These techniques help shift the nerve system out of a chronic stress response and into a parasympathetic, or “rest-and-digest,” state. Even a few minutes a day can lower cortisol levels, improve mental clarity, and create a sense of calm in the midst of external uncertainty. Over time, meditation and mindful breathing build resilience, allowing you to respond more effectively rather than react impulsively to stress.
Rest and sleep are also foundational to nerve system health. During deep sleep, the brain processes information, repairs tissues, and resets regulatory systems. Chronic sleep deprivation keeps the nervous system in a heightened state of stress, compounding anxiety and reducing the body’s ability to recover. Prioritizing consistent, quality sleep is one of the most impactful ways to stabilize your system during challenging times.
Finally, nutrition plays a critical role. The nerve system relies on a steady supply of nutrients: especially healthy fats, amino acids, vitamins, and minerals, to function optimally. Blood sugar imbalances, dehydration, and nutrient deficiencies can all amplify stress responses and impair cognitive function. Eating whole, balanced meals supports both brain chemistry and physical resilience.
In uncertain times, it’s easy to focus outward on what can’t be controlled. But by caring for your nerve system through chiropractic care, meditation, proper rest, and nutrition, you strengthen the one system that governs how you experience and respond to everything. And that can make all the difference.

Parking Procedure
You may have noticed the signs and tablet at the front desk! In order for us to be able to keep our parking free for patients and clients, we have made some updates. If you are parking in a Glow parking spot, please register your license at the front desk tablet. This is important to avoid being ticketed. We thank you for your understanding as we make this change.
Recipe No-Bake Oatmeal Protein Balls

Ingredients:
- Rolled Oats
- Protein Powder (we recommend Designs for Health Whey Cool – Vanilla or Chocolate. Ask your practitioner for a discount code to use online!)
- Cinnamon
- Chia Seeds
- Peanut Butter
- Raw Honey
- Vanilla Extract
- Add- ins – mini chocolate chips, raisins, dried cranberries, etc…
- Liquid (Milk/Water)
Step 1: Mix all ingredients in one bowl
Add oats, protein powder, cinnamon and chia seeds to a large mixing bowl and stir. Add in peanut butter, honey and vanilla extract. Stir to combine. Add in raisins (or preferred add-in). The mixture should be slightly sticky but still crumbly.
Step 2: Roll into balls
Slowly add in liquid 1 tablespoon at a time and using hands combine until it comes together in a sticky ball that holds together. If the mixture is too dry, add in more liquid but not so much that it won’t hold shape. Roll into balls using hands. Roughly a tablespoon each
Step 3: Set in fridge
Place in a container to set in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. Store in the fridge until ready to eat.
